We just returned from Maui where we shore dive daily and I find that my boot soles are too thin for many of our entries. I'm looking at some hard sole options, but am wondering if there is a sandal/shoe option that might work instead. I am using Aqua Lung open back fins.

Has anyone used the 5 finger shoes as dive boots (someone at our resort said they worked for her)? I tried using my Keen's but they kept slipping off my heel during the dive. I'm continually working on travelling lighter and love the idea of a two for one shoe.
