Hit dive 100 today! Had a pretty nice dive too .. did the Gaskin from shore, following the line from centeen park. Water is still fine, although I'm wearing a hood, but it is a bit chilly getting changed afterwards.

Congrats on dive # 100, Eric....

Question: How long did it take you to get there. I got certified in May and have 30 dives now under my belt. I wonder if it'll take me 3 years to get to # 100

I was certified in May 2003, so 1 year ahead of you. I did 51 dives last year and 49 so far. I'm hoping to still get in a few more so I can beat last year, but it is getting cold out for changing after the dive (I dive wet). Last year I dove until the beginning of November.

One of the guys I dive with makes it to the the wreck in six minutes (we call him Speedy Gonzales) I prefer to take 8 - 10 minutes. So if you allow 20 minutes for the round trip we can still spend over 30 minutes on the wreck. FYI ... I'm diving with an LP80.

Eric

It generally takes us 12 minutes out and about 8 to come back because of the way the current runs.

Might I ask......... what was your starting pressure in your LP80, and how much gas did you get out with? What was your buddy(ies) diving (tank size/pressure)

Just wondering because I know how I prefer to do this dive, yet I'm continually being told it can't be done by the normal diver on a single tank.

(Let's just leave the "should" and "shouldn't" out of it for now)
