i have dove in several "women's" bc's (ladyhawk, libra, zena and athena) as well as a bp/w setup. personally, i prefer my diva lx over all of these for recreational diving (although all are good solid performers). for me, here are my pros/cons (many echo previous posters)
pro's - adjustable cummerbund for 'best' fit with all different mm. of wetsuit
- able to get a secure but not binding fit with my shorter torso (libra was
definitely too long for me).
- plenty of D rings
- nice big buckles for easy release at the shoulder even in gloves
- evenly balanced with good lumbar support when hiking to/from site w/ tank
- dragonfly design has not been prone to pocketing air on one side
underwater, as i have experienced in some back inflate systems.
cons - the pockets - poorly angled and hard to access underwater, esp. to
manipulate the zipper
- i have had to replace worn velcro once (after about 200 dives) on the
weight pockets.
- the rear trim weight pockets seem to always be in the way of securing the
tank in the mounts on boats (this is a function of placement on the tank tho
secondary to my short height)
- very very very stiff pull dump (although this is more than compensated by
the left shoulder dump - so in practice, you rarely use the pull dump except
when cleaning your valves after the dive)
hope this helps.
