Well, of course, I have no idea where Discovery Cove is, but I'd practice in a pool and become completely comfortable with the process before I headed out into the ocean. -Clay

Been hearing about DC, heard it's awesome....haven't been there yet...BTW - SNORKELING SUX! I hate it!

Took my kids to Discovery Cove. Here is a summary.

1) It is an excellent and well done theme park.
2) The dolphin adventure is probably worth it for kids.
3) The 'coral reef" is the best part of the site.
4) The price includes your meal, one day pass to Sea World, snorkel gear and wet suit rental - also they provide suntan lotion.
5) You can snorkel the river/bird area also
6) They cap the number of visitors per day so you should make reservations.

My kids loved D.C. so much that they wanted to become certified and experience "real diving".

I would have to rate the overall D.C. experience a 9 on a scale of 10!

Having a chuckle at myself. I realize now that you're talking about Discovery Cove the amusement park. I'd still do a little snorkeling in a pool before you go so you'll better enjoy the experience. -Clay
