Is there a DIR teacher in the DFW area?

Is there a page someplace that has a list of recommended equipment or is that an instructor thing?

Is there an outline of the DIR classes and what the teach and at what stages?

We have a class in DFW the second weekend of June. Right now we don't have a local instructor, but Don Champlin is interning with us to finish off his GUE rating. He'll be there that weekend and I'll be teaching the class. You can contact me or Don if you want added details. Don can be reached at

Don Champlin
E-mail Address(es):
dbchamp@comcast.net

or I'm at mhk@gue.com

Hope that helps

I did a dive with Don at Clear Springs yesterday. He's usually out there by the Northern docks. In fact that's how we met last year.

We're planning on meeting up again next Saturday morning if you want to join us. Just look for a guy with a set of doubles in a USMC hat, that'll be Don.
