We are heading to the Cayman Aggressor in a few weeks and wanted to know any recommendations on dining options near where the boat docks. We will have some time to kill prior to boarding and of course on the return Friday evening. We would prefer options within walking distance. Thanks.

They moor at the Tourist Dock downtown afaik. So within easy walking distance - from across the street to about a block south:

Hard Rock Cafe CAYMAN ISLANDS
"Guy Harvey's Restaurant & Bar", Seafood, French & Caribbean Cuisine

Nothing in Georgetown is too far away. Here's a pretty complete dining list if you wanted to find something else. Many of these are probably nearby - IDK. I do know where the four listed above are. Grand Cayman Islands Restaurants Guide

Yes, they dock at the Tourist Dock. Thanks for the info and the link to the map. Very helpful.

I see a lot of US food chains on the map. Is this a cruise ship docking area?

Absolutely - It's the heart of it. 2-3 ships per day usually. Actually it's a tender port, the ships moor out in the harbor. http://www.seyeneco.com/pages/pictures/grand_cayman/george_town/cruise_ships.html

See the orange building with the blue roof in this shot of the tender port: George Town, Grand Cayman Pictures That might be Margaritaville. Same building is in this shot from a recent Cayman Aggressor trip report. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b79/MRBLU/DSC01106.jpg - http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/ca...-report-cayman-aggressor-february-2012-a.html

See what ships will be in on your return here: http://www.caymanport.com/shipschedules.php They all leave by about 5PM. I don't think any are in on Saturdays - Georgetown is not a home port.

I think Casanova is about the finest in that area. Another thought is to Walk down to the sunset house. My Bar is a great hangout, Excellent conch Fritters and Mud slides. Lots of divers to talk to. And depending on your dive plans you could get a shore dive in to see the mermaid.....

Thanks again for all the info everyone. Looks like we're clear of the cruise ships on both the arrival and departure. :D We might check out Sunset house on the arrival day for lunch before boarding.

Sunset House is awesome we stayed there several days before we boarded the Aggressor...My Bar serves great food and the atmosphere is great overlooking the water...both times I have been on this Aggressor we always go to Casanova's...but I prefer Sunset House...YMMV....have fun

I just returned from the CAIV and had an excellent dinner with new friends @ Cassanova. A couple on our trip had a nice romantic dinner @ The Wharf Premier Waterfront Restaurant in Cayman & I saw pictures of the food & it looked absolutely yummy! Enjoy your trip...i miss it already & love it there!
