Hi I was wondering if you used a DIN first stage, would you have no need for a pony bottle? The ways to run out of air are poor gas managment, unexpected problem, or exuipment fauilure. The first 2 can be solved by using common sense and couldn't using a DIN connection solze the third? Thank

The DIN connection is more secure, thus preventing or greatly reducing the risk of a gas lost attributed to a blown O-ring. It does not however protect you from a regulator malfuction. A DIN first stage is identical to a Yoke first stage except for the connection.
