What is more common in the Netherlands and the rest of Europe DIN or Yoke? I'm moving there in a day and wanted to know if I had to convert my reg over to a DIN set up. Thanks everyone.

I don't know what is specific in Holland but in most European countries both DIN and yoke are usable. The there is a piece on the valves that you can remove/add to make if accept DIN/yoke

In the Netherlands, almost all valves are DIN with a yoke insert.
Where are you going in the Netherlands?
BTW I would go DIN anyway,it's much better.:D

I'm going to be around Edam. That is how most of the steel tanks are here. I should have my dive gear about a week or two after I get there. Side note are there many places to rent tanks over there? Well in 24 hours it will be over here.

Most shops will rent you tanks.

There doesn't seem to be one in Edam.

Throughout Europe, Middle East & Africa almost all tanks are convertible valves - Din or old fashioned.

If you have the quaint A-Clamp, then have them converted to DIN next time they are serviced, safer, smaller, lighter, .
O ring is completely enclosed - so it will never blow in use
much more engineered solution, things fit well, A-clamp can be misaligned, or twisted ...
DIN is less prone to being knocked.

DIN - it makes so much sense.
DIN rated to 300 bar (or mine are anyway)

I have dived on 4 continents and never come across a dive centre that does not have convertible cylinders allowing me to use DIN .... even in Mexico which I thought would not have DIN .... all cylinders were convertible.

Most of europe will be DIN. However just about every tank valve i've seen in the last 10 years or so is DIN to A-clamp convertible and comes with a screw in insert if you want to use dinosaur regs so in reality either will work.
The only place ive dived in the world where tanks weren't convertible is the USA in fact.
