I just got back from a weeks dive trip to Cozumel where I was using my JVC DV camcorder in an Ikelite housing to take underwater footage, and while it worked fairly well and I had no REAL qualms about it, I definately want to get something a bit more top of the line...

So the question is... what else is out there ? I've looked at some web-sites but, it's hard to get a really good idea of what a camera is like from pictures on the web, so anyone have DV cameras/Housings that they like, hate, wish had some other features, wish didn't have some feature/quirk.

My main complaints on the JVC are,

Size, it's not huge, but I'd like something about half the size again.

Weight, it's kind of heavy to cary around on land, and makes my suitcase that much more heavy.

Ease of use, while it's not too hard to use, zoom is somewhat awkward to use, the viewfinder looks tiny (at least to me) with no option to use the view screen, and the red filter is an external piece of equipment (so is always in danger of getting scratched/lost
