Difference between HOG/EDGE regs?

My understanding so far:

The HOG d1 and Edge EPIC share guts, and breathe very similarly (if not the same).

The distinction is in the build - tech = black, harder body with smaller purge, etc. rec = more lightweight body with rubber purge.

What is the difference in the Edge EPIC and EXP second stages? For the first stage, I see some conformational differences (epic = more low-profile). It seems as though these second stages are very similar, save for the color and swivel hose.

I was thinking I might buy one of these sets, and get a HOG second-stage as my primary and use the EDGE for an octo. Is there an easy way to change the color of the EDGE purge button?

The Hog D2 and the Edge Epic first stages are identical other than the color and the DIN/Yoke thing. The second stages only differ in the shape of the body and the purge button. Edge is tipically sold as a first and second stage, while Hog is sold per piece. Hog offers a soft purge cover in a variety of colors including Yellow. Hope that helps.
