I would love some clarification from the scuba community that is familiar with oceanic.
Backstory - My brother had an oceanic excursion 2 qlr 3 that he purchased a year ago. I was in the market for a bc, tried it on, loved it. I ordered what was pictures as the same excursion 2 qlr 3 BCD last week and what arrived was different. An oceanic excursion BC w/ the qlr4 system arrives. The BC that arrived is the current BC shown on oceanics' website. Did oceanic make there new unit without a number following it? I remember the old oceanic excursion, then the 2 was released, and now no number again? This unit being a qlr4 makes me believe it is newer but I just want to make sure. A few things I liked on his such as the whistle are not on this BC.
My Question - Is my "oceanic excursion qlr4" the new model of the "oceanic excursion 2 qlr3" ?
