Dicapac soft case revisited

I want to document my daughter's Jr OW training, first dives, and progress. I do not have plans for going beyond point and shoot or beyond 40ft. The Dicapac soft case looks like a good alternative for my Canon AS 3100. I am checking to see if I am tossing away $130 for a worthless case and wreaking my wife's camera or if this will work for what I intend to use it for. I would expect that squeeze would render this worthless at some depth and I plan to really use this to 30ft.
