DGX Max Video Light

Anybody here has tried the DGX Max Video light and has any thoughts to share on it? It seems really cheap compared to other video lights on the market and I'm wondering if there's a catch to it. I'm thinking of getting a pair of these for night dive illumination and some video work. Haven't seen any reviews on it so just wanted to see if anyone has tried it. Also wondering if I got it, whether it could be attached to a ball mount. Only mounting option I've seen so far is in the other link below.

I'm currently using one DGX Max video light with an Olympus TG4. I like it because it's compact, light and uses the same batteries (18650s) with my other dive torches. Best of all, it's a very affordable video torch.

But with one LED, don't expect it to 'throw' light far for wide-angle shots.

I use it mainly for macro & close-up shots to illuminate areas the internal flash cannot reach or to minimise backscatter. The image below (unedited) was taken at night with the DGX Max only.

Thanks for the sample shot. I already shoot with a pair of INON Z240s but I didn't wait to burn out the battery using it as my primary illumination source on night dives so this light would be pretty much perfect to cover that. Do you think the beam angle is wide enough to be an effective video light? Also, do you mount it to your camera and if so, how are you doing it?

The beam is wider than my camera's field of view, no problems taking videos with it.

Personally, I find that this video torch cannot "punch through" the water very well, so I use another torch with a tighter beam (10º I think) for looking around and stuffs.
