Destination recommendations for May

I might be taking 3-4 weeks holiday in May and was wondering what the best diving destination would be at this time of year. It seems to be in between seasons for a lot of places. Ideally I would like somewhere where I can stay for 3-4 weeks reasonably cheaply and complete my divemaster so was thinking Thailand or Indonesia?

A few things -
You should fill out your profile so we know where you live, what your diving experiences are, etc. It helps when answering questions.

Next, what is your price range? Cheap means different things to different people.

You want to complete your Divemaster? PADI? The DM course is long and intense, lots of written tests and skills tests. It takes at least 2 weeks to do. Do you really want to do that on your 2-3 week vacation?

I clicked this thread to look for responses, becuase my wife and I plan on diving in May as well. We want to see large species sharks, mantas, etc and are looking to travel anywhere in Africa, Red Sea, Seychelles, or Maldives. We are currently located in Dubai and are both PADI Advanced Open Water Certified divers. I'm also very interested in taking photos with my new strobe!!

Does anyone have advice on what site(s)/areas may best meet the above request for May?
