Going to Destin this summer, planning to go diving. I see they have a few different charters. Who is the best one to dive with? Any experiences would be appreciated. Thanks.

You pretty much have a choice of Scuba Tech (http://www.scubatechnwfl.com) or Emerald Scuba (http://www.divedestin.com/) if you want to dive directly out of Destin. You've got other choices for an about hour drive to Pensacola or Panama City

Most people would suggest diving with ScubaTech (if staying in Destin).

Shore diving at the Jetties (East Pass) isn't bad either. I went with SeaYoda and PaulWall from Scubaboard and had a great time. (except for those kamikazi krabs!)

Have made many trips to Destin with Advanced Open Water students doing their first boat and deep dives as well for my own enjoyment.

Both shops are owned by women. Suba Tech has a converted crew boat and Emerald Coast has a dive/fishing type boat and both will hold about 20 divers. Emerald Coast also has a smaller fast boat for some of the longer runs at the more advanced dive sites. Both run good safe operations. If one is booked when I'm headed down I will book with the other.

You're also an hour's drive from Panama City. Several good operations over there as well. PM if you want their names.
