I just tried out my new Zeagle Flathead VI/ZX on a dive trip and am very pleased with it. There's just one thing that I wish that I could change - and that would be how loud the bubbles are in exhaling. It would be so nice if diving were silent.
On the regulator thread, I tried and pretty much failed to see if anybody had made extensions to the exhausts so that the bubbles would be routed away from my ears. Most respondents promoted rebreathers and double hose rigs. Fine but aint gonna happen.
Then one poster suggested this:
ScubaPro made a "bubble deflector" for some of their regs, essentially a 2" extension to their exhaust tee. Works quite well, I use one on my S600... They were only sold in the UK (tho you can find the on the 'net and have them shipped) and were discontinued some time ago so they're getting REALLY hard to come by.
If Zeagle were to design something like this for the ZX, I think it could be an extremely desireable feature. Please consider this. And if it makes you rich, that's ok too.
