I was wondering how do you make sure that you are properly fitted for the harness and how does one trim off the waist harness? Other than cutting it off do I burn it? It seems to have a nice edge that was cut and burnt with hot steel or something but I have none. I have a long remaining webbing after inserting my buckle, should I cut it off or just keep it?

Also the harnesses seems kinda rigid, Does it become softer after more dives?

I saw http://oxycheq.com/images/dloadfiles/OWB-03-04_DeluxeAdjustableHarness.pdf for assembly but there is no video guide on how to properly adjust like what DiveRite did on youtube.

Make sure it is long enough(use mine with shorty,5mm & drysuit/u.garments). Cut a piece of old bicycle tubing, put it on the harness, and stuff the remaining webbing through...... burn the edges with a lighter.
