Spotted this in the British press earlier today. It's not strictly diving so I can't put it in the regular forums, but it is very much underwater related :)

Earlier today singer Katie Melua and her band went down inside one of the "legs" of a gas platform, moored in the North Sea and played the deepest gig ever. The concert was at at amazing 303 meters below sea level. That's pretty deep!

Why would anyone want to set a record like that? I mean, it's one thing if you play instruments while breathing from aregulator at the same time, but this is no different from a normal concert except that there's more danger and less people. No point being deep if you're not actually IN the water. ("IN" meaning the only thing separating you from the water is a suit)
