The Empress of Ireland episode was nice. Actually, I just 'pre-prdered' Kevin F. McMurray's new book "Dark Descent.' It's about the Empress. I probably won't get a chance to dive her this year (finishing up some classes), but next year - LOOK OUT! Well, if Scuba_Steve can put up with me on a trip like that.
On another note, I do have some of the DSD episodes recorded. PM me for a list.

Actually, incase you didn't know, the guy I'm going with this year (to the Empress)was the "guide" on the Empress for Kevin's latest book. I'm supposedly getting a signed copy soon. (I think he said signed).

At the recent Tech conference held in Ottawa, signed copies of Kevin's book were on sale (I got one

Along with an excellent presentation on the Empress brought the story to life for me. Though I knew some things about the accident, the video that was shown during the presentation provided so much more. The good news is the two guys that had made the original video of the wreck (if I remember correctly it was made about 10 ago), have made another which should be shown later this year.

From my understanding, all the "new" footage was taken last year.

Steve-O, not this year, but if the Empress is open next year (2005), that's my goal. I'd be honored to dive that wreck with you. That wreck hold more allure to me than wrecks like the Doria. Don't know that I'll ever do that one or that I even really want to. The Jodery and Gunilda on the other hand...
And yes, the Empress episode will be in the forthcoming release of Volume 3...
