Hey Everybody,
Just trying to get a feel for what people are using out there for deco software. I have been using v-planner, z-planner, m-plan,
and Gap. I feel that gap is way better than the other freeware.

Also what conservatism factor do most people use, if any? I tend to set mine to about 20%, and for g.f. I use 80 - 50. To conservative?

Any other thoughts out there?

I have Z, V, and GAP. I prefer V-Planner, but GAP is fine too. You can get similar profiles out of Gap and V-Planner, with Z-Planner being more conservative.

I use gap, V Planner, and Voyager. The trouble with Voyager is you have to add deep stops manually. I guess I use Gap the most, which is a shame because I spent alot of money on voyager. I use the default 20-70 default (I think) gf for gap. I also turn on depth conservatism.

This Quarter's DirQuest devoted most of the issue to Decompression and had an article related to VPM (Variable Permeability Model).

They mentioned a few different software programs and the available source code that 's floating around out there.

I just downloaded the latest version of V-Planner (freeware) the other day (revised 3/2/02), so I'm still playing with it.
