For those of you that are doing Deco Diving or just at your saftey Stops,
How do YOU amuse yourself ?

Say you have 30mins of Deco in Blue Water; no fish about just your ugly buddy to look at, what do you do to keep yourself occupied?

Or just bumming at 5 for 3
Here are a few to kick you off

1: Practice my Buoyancy Skills
2: Read Magazines
3: Game Boy in a Plastic Zip lock Bag (Not Below 10Ft)
4: Paper Rock Scissors

Perhaps try acting out Shakespeare via hand signals? :)

Actually, I have a tendancy to do long hangs, even though I'm not doing any deco diving yet. What do I do during that time? Generally try to re-live and review the whole dive.

I pull out a little vinyl-lined chess board. Moving the little magnetic pieces around provides no end of fun.

Of course this is best reserved for warm water dives with no gloves.

Try to blow a condom.....(*just joking.....)
;)

See who can blow the biggest air -ring

on where I am. If I am out in the mighty blue and there is no reef at the safety stop then I will normally practice bouyancy and amuse myself playing tag with my buddy.

Hopefully, if we are doing a boat dive we can hangout on a reef and just observe the marine life.

Shore dives is no problemo. I especially enjoy the safety stop off Casino Point. there is so much to see and do in the kelp you could actually spend a whole dive right there.

Don't they have little underwater FM radio's now??? But then again out in the middle of the ocean they're not a lot of stations...

What do you mean no marine life? Here in NC there are always fish everywhere (the problem is they're usually barracuda and they're even uglier than my buddy). I like to get out my shiny knife and threaten them when they do that jaw thing. Probably not a good idea though (don't want to loose a finger).

I love staring down fish. Have I told you all about my encounters with two huge Jewfish?
