This was the last stop on our trip.

There is a LOT of interesting history at Deception Island. I recently learned that it was the initial plan for Shackleton after they left the ice; however, after three days on the Weddell Sea, they got a location fix and realized there was no way the would ever get to Deception Island so they changed plans "on the fly" and went to Elephant Island instead (which was the first stop of our trip).

We were able to do a nice dive and then go ashore. The dive was great with whale bones and all sorts of interesting creatures. It amazes me how much color exists underwater water when above water everything is so stark.
