Anyone out there have first hand experience or knowledge about the weather on the west side of Halmahera in December? Since it's about smack in the middle between North Sulawesi and Raja Ampat, does it favor the weather of one area over the other, or does it somehow split the differing seasons of the two?

Thanks!

The Northern part of the West coast will have about the same weather as Manado. Which usually means more rain than in other periods and often strong swell from the North east to North west. The North and West coast of Morotai and Rau will have big waves most of the time.
I am not sure about the Southern part of the west coast. But there must be more protected areas because of the many Islands.
For us, at the Bay of Weda (East coast), this is the month with little rain and most of the time an absolutely flat sea.
