I think it's time for you to change your handle from swankenstein to coldwaterninja. Did the sealions make you nervous? They always freak me out at first.

I wouldn't say "nervous". It can be startling when they charge down out of nowhere (they always seem to come up from behind). With that big tri-window mask I wear, I often see their vague dark shapes reflected on the glass even when they're behind me. When I'm diving up around the Nanoose area in winter I'm always expecting to see them so it's even not all that startling. Since I have a camera/video, marine life is always on it's best behavior.
