The loyal members of Scuba Board would like to request that you provide for sale a way to identify ourselves while diving....I was trying to hook up with a member today from some 6000 miles away. Our phone msgs didn't cross untill AFTER we were out of the water. We left the water at the same time and the same place, within a couple of minutes. If Id have only known!!!!
SO this is what I propose. Scuba Board has made and offers for sale the following items, as the secret handshake dosen't seem to work (almost got arrested by a nonscubaboard member for shaking wrong! :11: )...Bumper stickers, Member Sucba Board. com....A small dive flag like 6X8 inches that can be placed on an antena or visor or whatever, that says scuba baord. A tank wrap or some obvious device that clearly identifies us as loyal scuba board members....Any other ideas are welcome.
Please post your support for this idea and lets get it rolling!

So there are bumper stickers! Now how about the rest? I don't often drink coffee under water.
BTW, welcome to the board and welcome to diving! Oh wait, 0 dives..... Thanks for your input.

Does anyone else thnk it would be great to look around at a dive site and find SB menbers????? Id spend a few bucks for that.

I actually have one dive from my first attempt at my OW cert. Murphy's law went into effect hardcore on both of my OW dive days. I'm anxious to get back out there and finally get certified.

Tank wraps could be 2-3 bumper stickers on your tank with waterproof tape and the flag you could probably find on ebay, a novelty store or LDS. Creativity and ingenuity are your friends!

Hmmm. I got a sticker when I became a supporting member. If they ever get shirts big enough, or I get small enough, I'm going for a shirt for those outings where I might run into SCUBABoard members...

Hey TechAdmin.... remember Saturday, when I said how cool the SB tag on your gear bag was??
:crafty: Hmmm............ not that I want one or anything :D

Missy P, the problem with the tags we have now is they are hard printed and very costly to do in bulk as a result. I'm looking for a way to do "inserts" but keep them relatively waterproof, so far I'm still looking.

As far as stickers, we sell some on CafePress (along with t-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, mousepads, and so forth). We also have some high quality tank stickers on the way which will be sold at or around cost later this month.

How about license plate holders? Got those on cafepress?

Howzabout a "SlapStrap" with the SB Logo????

I like the idea of a slapstrap, too, but I'd rather see them get one like this one: "Soft Mask Strap" I have this one, and you can adjust it on the fly really easy if need be, and it stretches better too...
