I have decided that I have reached my talent potential with the automatic underwater set-up with strobe. I have decided to start taking some pictures in the manual underwater mode with strobe. I noticed that I was only able to switch between 2 different F-stops. After I chose my F-stop, I had quite a few choices of shutter speeds to choose from. The F-stops choice, combined with the shutter speed, auto ISO, and flash intensity gave me a variety of exposures.

Why are there only two F stop choices in the manual mode? Am I missing something or is this the full capability of the camera?

You're not missing anything, thats all there is for F stops. I was thinking that there were actually three stops but maybe that's not right. I think they added more stops into the design of the DC1400.
