DC 1200 auto shut off

In Cozumel this week using new DC1200 for the first time. Seems to automatically shut off after about a minute. Checked my settings and auto shutoff was set to 3 min. I set auto shutoff to OFF, but still several times I went to take a shot and the camera was off. Waiting for the camera to come back on I've missed many shots already. Is it me or the camera? Double checked after the dive and auto shutoff is OFF.

It is possible that the camera was only in a sleep mode and that pushing any button would turn the camera on again.

Verify if that was happening, on land and if not, contact our service dept. to see about returning for evaluation.

That was the case. Didn't realize it would go into sleep mode so quickly.
