I'm going with Blackbeard Cruises for a week liveboard from Nassau early March. Before purchasing the flights from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau and back I was wondering are there any really worthwhile daytrips I should take while in the Bahamas? Unfortunately I don't have more than two (max 3) extra days to spend around there but what would you recommend in addition to the liveaboard scuba diving?

Is Tiger Beach shark diving available on daytrips? I managed to google only week-long liveaboards from Florida and rather tame-looking reef shark trip to another location Nassau Shark Diving, Nassau Shark Diving | Viator.com
How is early March shark-wise anyway? What species can be encountered at those water temperatures? Dolphin encounters available anywhere nearby?

Any (even non- scuba diving) recommendations are appreciated and as the other part of the trip is in Florida, any recommendations for activities around there are welcome as well!

The link you googled is to Stuart Cove's Shark Dives - Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas Shark Diving Bahamas Diving in Nassau Bahamas Tiger Beach is too far for day trips from there - it's 20 miles off Grand Bahama - not Nassau/New Providence.

I have seen references to this trip but know nothing about them: http://www.incredible-adventures.com/sharks_bahamas.html

You could do a Dolphin Encounter at Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island there. It's not a dive though. There's also a pretty spectacular aquarium and of course the casino and other amenities.

To dive with Dolphins, you'd have to fly over to UNEXSO on Grand Bahama. The Dolphin Experience
