Of course the reef is Paradise. Boat Captain counted 14 boats all dropping divers within 15 mins of each other. Extremely crowded for the first part of dive until everyone separated. You didn't even need a light at first.

Wow, that many boats and he didn't move on?

I counted 8 boats by the time I started dive. So relying on Captain while under the water. In my 10 years diving in Cozumel I have only done 1 night dive other than Paradise. Just right out of the Marina so why spend the money on gas.

Actually just sat on the bottom and let everyone move on. Then after a few minutes didn't run into any another divers. To me it seems a lot of divers move fast to cover more area. I take it nice and slow.

I was once on a night dive on Paradise Reef where after we had been on the bottom for about 5 minutes a cattle boat dropped about 20 divers right on top of us. They immediately started crowding around us to see what we were looking at, flailing about, kicking the reef, shining their lights in our faces... I mean, couldn't their captain and DM see our lights??? We started swimming away from them, they followed us. We all stopped and shone our lights in their faces; they finally got the message and moved on.

Usually free swimming eels there. Nice pics.
