I have not heard of Caracalillo before. Is it a portion of a reef with a more widely known name or is it another reef entirely?

Caracalillo is also known as Punta Palancar which starts towards the end of Palancar Gardens.
It is sandwiched between Gardens and Dalila.
Which should not have divers in it at the moment as it is closed right now and has been since the start of April.

What reefs are still closed?

What reefs are still closed?
They are closing on a rotational schedule; I believe the ones that are closed now are Dalilia, Palancar Horseshoe, and Palancar Gardens.

I don't have a picture, but on shore opposite the reef is a tree with lots of conch shells hanging from the bare branches, hence caracolillo.

Ah, I know it. The conch tree, I mean, if you are talking about the one at the base of that concrete pier with nothing else around it.
