Fat Tuesday is March 5th. Which is 4 days shy of the latest date it can occur on. March 9th is the latest it can occur which will happen in 2038.
Carinval 2018 will be the week prior to the start of Lent with parrades on Saturday March 2, Sunday March 3rd and Tuesday March 5th.
I just arranged to take that week off yesterday so I can come down.
Useless triva bonus: Easter occures on the Sunday following the first full moon of spring. Since March 20th this year is a full moon and Spring starts the following day the first full moon of Spring does not occur until Friday April 19th with Easter on Sunday the 21st. If it is a full moon on March 20th and that date is a Saturday then it moves Easter to it's latest possible date of April 25th and Fat Tuesday to March 9th, which happened last time in 1943 and will happen again in 2038.
