Woman falls off balcony while attempting hand stand

NORTH FORT MYERS, Florida (AP) -- A woman fell to her death while trying to do a handstand on the railing of a second-floor hotel balcony, sheriff's officials said.

Molly Jerman, 23, of Cape Coral died Sunday. While attempting a handstand, she toppled over and dropped to the hotel patio, according to the Lee County sheriff's department.

Just before she fell, she had called out to a friend, "Watch to see what I can still do," a police report said. Foul play is not believed to be involved, officials said

No news of if she was heavily intoxicated? That is seriously a dumb move! However two floors isnt much unless you landed on some really nasty stuff, just bushes or grass you would survive, even concrete if you didnt go down on your head you might make it from. BTW - dont try this at home!

Well, she did happen to dive off the balcony. And it's a funny (weird) way to die. Yeah, it fits.

hmmm... This is moral grey for me... Now if one of the family were to come here and see this, what do you think would go down? Also, it's not like the lady is here to defend herself againt what might be seen as slander in her name.

Dont you think the family are thinking "what on earth was she thinking doing such a stupid thing?"? Maybe its bad to pass judgement on her, but even so, it still doesnt sound like the smartest thing to do - under almost any circumstances (except with a safety net below).
