I was looking through the Transportation Security Agency's website to try to find out how to bring some electronic trial exhibits through security without damaging them.

I didn't find my answer; however, I did find this:

ALERT! Babies should NEVER be left in an infant carrier while it goes through the X-ray machine.

What is with these people?=-)

People have to be warned about everything. Pick up a fan belt at the auto parts store. Most say "Warning! Stop engine before installing".

Next time your in Home Depot or the like, check out all the warning stickers on the ladders. In place because some uncoordinated bozo stood on the top step, found a way to fall and break their neck and sued the ladder manufacturer.

Amazing, really!

On a champagne bottle...warning contents under pressure, do not use corkscrew.

Best story. Frog's Leap winery in Napa Valley (who think wine should be fun not snobby) has printed on all of their back labels "open other end" as a direct attempt to thumb their noses at the stupid safety warnings. The great story is what the government response was to this. The government at first told them that this was not funny and that they would have to redo all their labels (as wine labels all have to be government approved). Frog's Leap responded through their lawyer that they would remove the warning if they had a signed letter from the government absolving them of all responsibility and damages should someone become injured while opening the wrong end of the bottle. Government answer was that after further consideration they agreed that the warning should stay and they were looking into the feasability of making this mandatory on all wine bottles. Great stuff.

I also like "do not attempt to stop chain with hand" on chain saw bars.

Every single carabiner I buy for climbing from Petzl has a folded up sheet of paper on it explaining all the training I should have to use it an all the consequences of not using it properly. It's like a complete essay with diagrams.

These are just off the top of my head, I'll think of more later.

I've seen a packet of peanuts that had written on the label - wait for it -

"This product may contain traces of peanuts".
