I need a BC for my wife and she loves the Kaila from MARES but its kinda spendy for someone who "is'nt sure how much she is going to dive".

I was noticing the Dacor Xtrmelle with Air Trim on sale for $199 right now. Are these any good? Anyone have experience with the Air Trim feature?

Mares bought Dacor.

Scrap,

There is nothing wrong with this BCD. Please note it is apprx 6yrs old and has been out of the Dacor line for 5yrs. You will note the weight pockets use velcro exclusively. Manufacturers have learned that a positive mechanical locking system for the weight pockets will work better at retaining them. Velcro will eventually break down and lose it's grip. As for the Air Trim. The technology is awesome. If you've never used it before, it will take a dive to get familliar and comfortable with it. Once your wife uses it a couple of times, she'll never look back. Many people have been enjoying this technology for quite some time.

Bottom line is, this is a great value, just watch the pockets as it wears.

Best,

I have a Mares Dragonfly Air Trim. The air trim is the best and is very easy to dive.
I dive it with my arms crossed and operate the air trim buttons with my right hand, no fiddling around trying to find the inflator hose.
