Hey guys. I receintly picked up a used reg set but have no idea the model number. The only markings are Dacor Olympic Balanced on the first stage. The second stage is a Dacor as well. The first stage has a lever for a reserve bottle. There is a plug close to the air inlet so I'm guessing that's a HP port. Not sure if it's for a SPG or reserve bottle. If anyone can help with a model number or some info it would be greatly appreciated. As a side note I won't be diving with it until it is inspected thoroughly by a LDS and until I get some professional scuba training.
Thanx again,
Charlie

You have a Dacor Olympic 800 regulator. First production 1969. Last year of production 1979. This is more of a vintage scuba collectible, than a normally diveable reg.

Hey Turtleguy. Thanx for the fast reply. Found some info about the reg thanx to your info. One quick question...how does the reserve lever work and what does it do. It's marked on/off but that's about all I know :D .
Thanx again

That is the same as the old "J" valve on a tank. Cool idea back then when we didn't have gages. BUT if the lever got tripped that 3-500 pounds you were counting on would be gone.

Aa word of caution about this reg. Unless you know EXACTLY what you are doing DO NOT dive this reg. I'm not sure with this model but it's old enough to be one of those that shut down with amy minor problem or failure.

Thanx for the reply. I won't be diving with this reg in the near future. I inspected the second stage and had to replace the exhaust valves,by chance I had a couple here. They were dried solid(black rubber),replaced with silicone. Guess I'm going to be in the market for a used first stage. Hopefully someone around here will have one I can afford or it's back to E-Bay where I found the one I have now.
Thanx again for the advice, great group of guys always ready to help.
