Dacor Adjustable Fury regulator, Viper Octo, 3 guage aeris atmos1 air computer. Anyone own or use this setup? It has been recommended to me, any pros cons that a new diver should know of? Thanks!

Who would tell you to buy that? To me, units like the HUB are one great big accident waiting to happen. One thing goes wrong and everything is messed up.

Just don't do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the board, Xanadu. Here I persent to you the link for the all-inclusive HUB thread, started in 2001 and stretching to this year, combined threads, heated opinions (though most of them thought out and logical), 34 pages of mostly why the HUB is a much maligned piece of equipment. If this thread doesn't convince you to go with something, anything else, than nothing will.

Good reading!

Parents don't let your kids do HUBs! Kids don't let your parents do HUBs.

I noticed that they have jazzed up the HUB with new colors and designs. I bet Barbie would dive one.

I figured an intergrated system that looks nice and compact could be trouble. Thanks again everyone!

I just have a chance to try Mares HUB at pool. My comment is... I feel the equipment a little bit awkward (e.g. finding the inflator, recovering 2nd stage, etc). If you're new diver, I would reccomend to avoid such setup. Just buy regular equipment, which you're trained to use, until you feel more comfortable and confidence underwater.

If you're new diver, I would reccomend to avoid such setup.

...and if you're an experienced diver, you ought to know better.
