Hi all! Has anyone ever seen or heard of a Dacor 950 1st stage being successfully converted to DIN? I'm thinking of getting a couple of HP tanks in the spring and need to know if I need to start saving for a new reg as well as the tanks. TIA!

Roman,
My Dacor manual lists the 950 DIN conversion kit as Part Number 1123-00. Hope that's useful.

Knowing that such a thing exists makes me and my wallet feel better already!

the only problem you are going to have is finding one,
a few years ago dacor stopped making parts for these older regs.
so check with your local dacor dealer and see if they might have one still.
if not, you might want to start saving your pennies for a new reg.

invest in new regs, i know where im from dacor parts are pretty much non existent. I wouldnt put any money into setting up older model dacor regs.

Mares has discontuned parts support for Dacor numbered regs as well as the Enduro, Quantum, Fury and other older Dacor regs.

Assuming you found a DIN kit for a 950, you'd be throwing good money after bad as service parts are drying up and no third party supplier has stepped forward to provide any other service options. It is sad to say as the 950 is an excellent first stage, but your best bet would be buying another reg.

Personally, I'd avoid buying either a Dacor or Mares reg, given the way Mares has treated its customers. Both Scubapro and Aqualung have long histories of supplying parts and service for their discontinued regs. In SP's case they still still support nearly every model ever made ince the late 1960's.

I have a 200 bar din conversion for a Dacor 950. PM me a real e-mail address.
