Hey all before I go on a hunt all over the net and try to figure this out on Mon with Sea and Sea, my d70 fell out of my back pack. Camera and lens are done for. Does any one know if the D80 had the same body style as the D70. I have a Sea and Sea housing and would like to replace the camera and continue to use the housing.

Tried looking at DPreview but they did not have a side by side comparison.

TIA
Randy

I looked at the listing for underwater housings at Helix Camera and housings for those two cameras are listed with different product numbers for Ikelite housings. Here's the web site:
Nikon Underwater Housing Reference Table - Helix Camera & Video

Here are two addresses with the cameras reviewed on imaging-resource.com:

Nikon D80 Digital Camera - Full Review - The Imaging Resource!

Nikon D70 Digital Camera Review: Design

However, you would be able to buy a used D 70 and probably a used lens. Here's the KEH.com website with the D 70 listings:

Cameras and used cameras available from KEH Camera Brokers.

Randy:

I shoot with a D70s and D300. If you can't find a used D70s, try checking out the D300 before purchasing a D80. Really a super camera.

Cheers,

Dan
