Hi everyone,I've been a member for som time now and this is my first post.
I recently flooded my Nimar housing(I live in Italy) and am fed up with the bother it has given.
I'm looking at the RDX-60 from sea&sea, the problem I have is this,is the housing compatible with the Nikon d40x camera? The Italian sea&sea rep say's it is with the d40 and not with the d40x.
To my knowlege the d40 40x and 60 have the same body and it sounds strange that the 40x wont work.Does anyone use a D40x with the RDX-60?
Thanks guys,
Andy.

The D40 and the D40x are the same exact camera except for a different internal sensor.

it uses the same body and all the buttons are in the same exact place. so any D40 housing, should work for a D40x. All I can figure is that they don't list the D40x as working with the RDX-60 because Nikon doesn't make the D40x anymore.

I have the D40x and my father and brother both have the D40 and if you put them side by side, you can't tell them apart besides the label on the front.

the D60 replaced the D40x with just some different internal features also (different firmware and dust blower on the sensor) and came with a VR lens as the package default. otherwise it's the same camera also.

Thanks Mike, thats what i think too.
The sea&sea rep over here must be misinformed.
I'll wait on sea&sea for their reply which i guess will be +ive and i'll get it.
I'll post a few pics once i get it.
Ciao and thanks,Andy.

Thanks to all, just to let u know i ordered the rdx-60.
Cheers.

HI all,I'm back asking for suggestions about the best flash setting while using 2 fiber optic cables connected to a Sea&Sea YS110 and a YS 110a.
On the camera's flash menu there's a choice between TTL and various other settings that cut output.
I don't fully understand how DS-TTL works through fiber optic cables, any ideas out there?
Thanks once again guys,
Cheers Andy.
