Where were these taken?
 
What great photos! We see cuttlefish locally all the time around Barrenjoey Peninsula here in Sydney (around Dragon's Lair, Hole in the Wall etc), and I've seen them in all stages of development from eggs and too-cute babies to the big hefty ones that look like wise old bearded men, hanging underneath ledges and overhangs, but I've never seen them laying eggs!
