Aloha,
I have a few NEMO laser pointers that I want to modify with a new body, switch, and battery. They work very well... when they work. Unfortunately they have a single oring seal on the battery and lens cap, and unreliable spring switch, and prone to flooding. Would like to use a delrin body, double oring seals, a peizo button, and higher quality battery. I dont have a mill or lathe or anything. Any recommendations on people that do this sort of custom work or alternative diy housing ideas by re-purposing existing kit? 100m would be nice. Pics of components (flooded) and assembled laser.

I'd see about using a magnetic switch. The magnets tend to corrode from electrolysis after a couple of years but there are no springs or openings to seal.

Aloha,
I have a few NEMO laser pointers ...
Never thought of using a laser pointer under water until I read your post. Then I searched and found one of the funniest item reviews I've seen so thought I'd share:

Reviews: Underwater Laser Pointer AL11 2820 - LeisurePro

"If only my other gear could be as cool as this lazer pointer. I zip tied it onto my dive light, which allows me to first aim it at my buddy's eyes and then turn it on. It's more of a surprise this way. Now I just need to find a good way to mount it on my spear gun. Bottom line, between this and my Oceanic Datamask I'm set for life.
Wowy"
