My DAN expired yesterday. I've been a longtime member, but had a very encouraging conversation at BTS this year with Dive Assure's rep.

After looking over the policies, 2 things grab me in particular with DA:

2 or 3 wheeled Vehicle exclusion
"Mountaineering" exclusion

So If I repel into a cave to dive, I'm not diving? Hike with ANY assistant devices to a mountain lake etc, I'm not diving?

AND, If I go to the DR or other country where motorcycles are the taxis, then I am S.O.L. as far as that is concerned?

Both exclude you drunk driving or being stoned.

Both use Duke.

Both wire money to your chamber operation as needed.

DAN is the old stalwart standard, for better or worse.

I have no primary coverage, so that's moot too...

What else am I missing?

I so hope this is not...

I just got a Dive Assure policy yesterday. The price is very reasonable and the policy is perfect for me and my two sons.
