I'm embarrased to admit it, but I noticed a bit of a stench in my drysuit today. I'm airing it out right now. Anyone have any tips for hastening the departure of unpleasant odors from a drysuit?

get a P valve??:D

Confiscate a pair of panty hose. Put kitty litter into each footie. Put each footie down a leg to the bottom of your dry suit. Absorbs smelly and dampness.
Give it a try.
Don't forget to remove before next use.

Just wash the inside of the suit. Just turn it inside out and hose it down and let it dry.

You need to soak it in some fabric softener. This is the best for wetsuits. Doesn't attack the neoprene at all. In fact, it keeps it smelling clean, fresh and brand new. My custom 7mm loves it and so do I.

I always soak ALL my softgear, bc, wetsuit, gloves, hood, booties in wootlite. Everything else that is all hardware: such as plastic, steel, or silicone material in regular water. I really take care of my stuff, I don't mess around when it comes to the hard earned money I spend.

My buddies always comment on how new my stuff looks, and they ask me what I always do to keep it that way.

I just tell them to make sure they spend the time to perform proper maintenance on it.

If your stuff is funkin' your slumpin'!:tongemoo:

I've got a shell DUI and I toss it in the tub every 3 or 4 weekend dives with wetsuit shampoo and let it soak. In between soaks I hang it to dry inside out and then right side out before folding up.
