Have a few weeks to kill so I am planning a trip to Bonaire, well I wanted to fly to Costa Rica for a week then head to Bonaire but getting there is a different story. So we have decided to go to Curacao for a week then head to Bonaire for a week. Well from some of the other threads it looks as if Curacao is not that desirable of a location??? I am not looking to party and shop just want to do some good diving and relax. Any suggestions??

I haven't been to Curacao but just returned from a week in Bonaire in June. You'll definitley be happy with Bonaire. Relaxing and the diving is spectacular!

I have dived both. Curacao once and Bonaire five (soon to be 6) times. I think that sums it up.

Bonaire is real laid back. Curacao is pretty much like a modern city.

I did a similar trip last summer for my honeymoon. We spent a week at Buddy Dive in Bonaire then flew to Curacao and spent a week at Sunset Waters. I really thought the diving in both places was close to the same if not equal. I did find the people of Bonaire to be slightly more friendly and I found that I felt a little safer in Bonaire, but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to either island.
