So thankful for suggestions from question - should i dive in Curacao - I was told not that great IF I am experienced and dived a lot in
places around the world - YES, I agree. We went and ended up asking dive shop owner for best snorkeling on the island- he said Portomari.
We went (by the way Curacao is not cheap - was expensive - was quoted $400 $500 and then $200 for taxi ride 1 hr each way)
Snorkeling was decent - saw sea snakes and some good fish but coral is almost all colorless and dead looking - visibility just ok.
Had a lot of fun but glad we didn't spring the big bucks to dive there - If you are new to diving you might view it as great but anyone
who has been diving for many years - it is Ok but not awesome Feeling sad that diving is just getting worse and worse each year - gotta head back
