Cruise Ship Traffic?

My wife and I will be back in Roatan in five days (woo-hoo!). Anyhow, I was wondering how the cruise ship traffic is these days. We're staying in West Bay, where we stayed two years ago. Last time there wasn't too much cruise ship traffic, but there was definitely a different feel in the air the days that the ships came in. Just wondering how things have changed. I tried to look up the schedule on-line and if I read it correctly, it looks like there may be four days out of the week with ships there.

I noticed it on the West End during the afternoon. Traffic has increased and traffic jams are more common thanks to the large tour buses shuttling large groups of people around. Also if you are at a location the tour company uses for tours you'll notice an increase of foot traffic. I ate lunch one day at Eagle Rays when a group of about 20-30 people were shuffled through like cattle. Chances are good you'll be underwater during the peak periods of tour groups. I didn't notice any impact on the West End after late afternoon had passed. Other than that I didn't notice any further impact island wide but I did avoid the areas where the boats docks.

Thanks. Last time ships came in twice during the week. On one of the days it rained while we were out diving and everyone was gone when we returned. I guess the thing I was worried about was the beach getting more crowded with the cruise ship people.

Nope. I don't think that is a concern as of yet. IME, a vast amount of the tours and people coming to the West End were well into retirement (read: not beach goers).
