Has anyone taken a cruise ship to Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and been able to find a dive shop close by? I'm only going to be there from 10 am - 7 pm which should be enough time for an afternoon dive, but I'm told that the nearest dive shop is still an hour away. I'm also told that the reason the cruise ship (Holland America) does not offer scuba on their shore excursion list is because they cannot guarantee you will get back to the boat on time (which would be a nightmare if the ship left you). Any seasoned, world-traveled divers out there who knows the best approach here?
