We are taking a Carnival cruise that will stop in Grand Cayman, Roatan, Belize, and Cozumel. We are covered in Grand Cayman because we dive there regularly. We are looking for recommendations in Belize and Roatan. I understand the options in Belize are limited. SeaSports or the ship operator. Does anyone have experience with these operators? The arrival time in Roatan is late so it will need to be a operator that is close and can deal with the ship schedule. Any recommendations?

We are looking for recommendations in Belize and Roatan.

In the "Bay Islands" section do a :search:

It is also good to look in the "Cruise Ship Forum", as that is where most of these queries occur.

I'll certainly let the Belizian members speak for themselves, but this often asked question would warrant a quick :search: here as well.

The answers to these two cruise ship destinations in terms of good SCUBA recommendations are quite a bit trickier than what you are used to in Cayman. The far-flung nature of the relative positioning of both of the island's various dive-ops versus the cruise ship dock are a major issue and are well discussed previously.

You might try Barefoot Divers - the closest diveop to Mahogany Bay (cruise port). Cruise Ship Shore Excursions, Roatan 5 Star PADI Dive Shop

Anthony's Key (the cruise op) and Subway Watersports also do cruise dives but they're both about 1/2 hr. or more away.
