In the words of the great Chipper...Croquets are for sisssies!!!

isnt it like a mix of american football and soccer only with that paddle-like contraption with a basket in the end.

hehehe

it's a pretty simple game. you usually play it in two teams of three. but you
can also play single-person teams, with 2 to 6 players.

you basically have to hit a ball (with a wooden mallet) through 9 wickets
(they're like little gates) in order (but the route makes you go through
the wickets 14 times total). there are also two stakes on either end of the
field, and you have to hit them both in order to finish.

you get one hit at the ball per turn. if you cross a wicket or hit a stake,
you get an extra shot. if you cross two wickets, you get two extra shots. if you hit
one of the other team's balls, you get two extra shots. extra shots are not
cummulative.

that's about it. the rest are just details. whoever completes the course first
wins.

oooh...like golf!

hmmm...

yeah, like miniature golf sort of... but easier

this is part of what a course looks like:

you are all wrong !!!

croquet is the activity where in you sit in a rocking chair and get two wooden sticks (now they have aluminums) and get a twine of cotton thread.

using the sticks you then weave the cotton twine into bonnets, little baby shoes, table tops and the sort.

:D

What are they teaching in your imperialist so-called "schools"? The activity you described is crochet.
