Anyone here of a recent croc attack near Paradise beach? From what I hear this either the second or third one this year!?

COZUMEL.-Cerca de las 21:00 horas del domingo se reportó el ataque de un cocodrilo, a través de la línea de emergencias 911, solicitándose la presencia de una ambulancia, debido a que una persona fue mordida en brazos y la cabeza, por lo que de inmediato acudió una unidad así como también los elementos del Cuerpo de Bomberos.
Hasta este lugar acudió la ambulancia, para hacer el traslado de la persona herida, mientras que los bomberos se encargaron de capturar al cocodrilo, logrando su objetivo a las 22:30 horas, para posteriormente trasladar al animal hasta las instalaciones de la Estación de Bomberos, en espera de que acuda el personal de Ecología para las diligencias correspondientes.
Trascendió que la persona atacada es un trabajador de este club de playa, de 23 años de edad, quien se metió a nadar a la alberca y fue en ese momento que el cocodrilo lo atacó al menos en cinco ocasiones, al parecer amputándole los dedos de ambas manos, desgarrando uno de sus brazos y causando heridas en cuello, espalda y cabeza.
Cabe resaltar que en la misma playa, el pasado 22 de diciembre del 2016, a las 7:30 horas, se pidió la presencia de los bomberos, para sacar a un cocodrilo que se encontraba dentro de la piscina de este club de playa, acudiendo estos elementos y logrando su captura las 8:00 horas.
En esa fecha, el gerente de este club de playa evitó que se filtrara la información sobre la presencia de cocodrilos en dicho lugar, ya que esto es frecuente, sin embargo, no quería que se supiera para evitar que esto afectara la imagen del lugar.
De esta manera, el domingo por la noche sucedió este ataque, en el que el cocodrilo lastimó los brazos y la cabeza de la persona que atacó, mandándolo directo al hospital.

Yes. A crocodile entered the pool at paradise beach and bit someone. There have been numerous crocodile sightings near shores the past few weeks from Villablanca to Westin resort area.
